For nature lovers and walkers the nearby nature area the “Kalkense Meersen” or "De Damvallei" are a must. Flower-watching can be done in the provincial area “Den Blakken” in Wetteren. Families with kids can go to the Family park Malter which is a childrens’ paradise.
The beautiful country-side of Laarne is also the ideal operating base for visiting the nearby cultural historical cities such as Ghent (10 km), Brugge (50km), Brussels (40km) or Antwerp (40km).

Walking, cycling, mountainbiking
At least 5 cycling / mountainbiking and 3 walking routes are passing by “t Groene Genoegen”. You can do endless walking and cycling through the typical roads of the Scheldeland. Bicycles can be rented.
